re.: “28 years of corruption and terror may be coming to an end as Mugabe’s own ZANU-PF party admitted defeat in its poll projection (Daily Nation, 04/02/08)”

Any corruption and terror about to come to an end in Zimbabwe will be because the Neofeudalists will have gotten a firmer foot through the front door. That MDC guy is a lapdog if there ever was one.

In any case, whatever happens, the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front party certainly isn’t going out of business.

BBC says: (and we know the Beeb never lies . . . )

A tape emerged, which allegedly showed Mr Tsvangirai discussing how to assassinate Mr Mugabe with a Canadian consultancy, Dickens and Madson.

No allegedly about it – the tape definitley did show Tsvangirai discussing an assassination attempt

The head of the consultancy, Ari Ben-Menashe, used to work as a lobbyist for the Zimbabwe Government and he calls Mr Tsvangirai ‘stupid’ for even speaking to him, let alone allegedly discussing killing the president.

again no allegedly about it, and Tsvangirai was pretty stupid.

and the Morgan went to Ben-Menashe, Ben-Menashe didn’t go to the Morgan

Mr Tsvangirai was acquitted, but for 20 months he had the possibility of a death penalty hanging over his head

Which is strange considering the MSM tells us Robert runs an absolute dictatorship. Not much of a dictator if he can’t even stack the courts in his favour to deliver a guilty verdict on a guy accused, and caught on camera no less, of plotting to assassinate him.

Yep – Tsvangirai’s the guy to lead Zimbabwe into a shining new future, free from the corruption and horror of the past, all right . . no doubt in my mind.

A veritable Neo-Ghandi, no less

In my humble opinion, the situation in Zimbabwe was that Mugabe ran things with an iron fist until inflation factored in so much from about a year ago. The general rule with dictators is that as long as the “essential” services of food production and defense are fine, there will be less resistance than what is require to unseat them. When almost every union in the country went on strike over the last year – that’s when things changed.

Yes, there will be no utopia coming out of Mugabe’s ousting. However, it’s a tiny step that is quite different than the usual bloody on non-bloody coup that has become the essential requirement over the last century.

re.: merc’s “When almost every union in the country went on strike over the last year – that’s when things changed.”

No wonder the United States is going down the toilet . . . wait. There ARE unions, right? They just can’t strike or something? I don’t know. Certainly jobs have been flying off to China and Latin America and now no one can pay their mortgages and the whole world is joining the United States in the toilet.

It’s been well over 10 years now, since NAFTA hit the ground running, and there’s no sign of a coup — other than JC’s hilarious April Fool’s post.

yeah well, I didn’t want to complicate things for the little dears. Just trying ta keep it simple enough so’s a complete retard could understand it. And I’m sick of linking to the Albert Einstein Institute.

doesn’t the inability to secure a conviction against a guy caught on video plotting to kill him, at least indicate that Mugabe’s Iron Fist wasn’t quite as Iron nor so fisty as we are lead to believe?

When almost every union in the country went on strike over the last year – that’s when things changed.

MD: There ARE unions, right?

Of course, you silly hallucinogen.

Especialy in Iron Fisted Zimbabwe they have unions. After all, it’s only when you adopt fully the NeoLib agenda that you can dispense with the need for such anachronisms as collective bargaining in the workplace.

After all, Iron-fisted dictators are known for their tolerance of unions, the world over.

Since the US still subsidises some of it’s exports it has yet to reach true Globalist nirvana. Soon

You see, everyone instantly becomes a fully liberated autonomous individual, equal in status and power to the kings of old, from the lowliest tiller-of-the-soil, to the highest Captain-of-industry. Each and every one, suddenly awakening that latent entrepreneurial instinct instilled by teh great architect, that ‘can do’ spirit that made America great, bursting at the seams of their Golden Straitjackets with capitalist zealousness and (goddamnit) the power of FREEDOM!!!!

(I had to stifle a little tear there)

Yes, there will be no utopia coming out of Mugabe’s ousting. However, it’s a tiny step that is quite different than the usual bloody on non-bloody coup that has become the essential requirement over the last century.

ok, f&$k what I said earlier . . . . Gene Sharp again! He made me do it
